The veil has thinned, and we do well to give special focus to our ancestors. In October, we all started this process with giving Blót to our Dísir. Winter Nights and Dísablót specifically have always been very special to me and have been where I have had some of my most visceral spiritual experiences. It is not possible to logically convince those who have not shared the experience or who are determined to be unconvinced, but the ancestors are with us, they reciprocate our love and our attention and if we have open hearts and open minds, they have much to share... Once you know, you cannot unknow.
Hail the Álfar!
Hail the Dísir!
Hail the Heroes!
With this in mind, we have been hard at work seeking out our history and preserving that history for future generations. A shining star in this endeavor is apprentice Folkbuilder Chris Savich of Michigan. Thank you, Chris, for your exceptional work! We have been cataloging old publications such as The Runestone, we have recently gained access to the very first issues in 1972 through 1980, these will be uploaded to https://library.runestone.org/library/ very soon! We have also been looking into the heroes of our faith from all times so that they get their proper recognition. A reoccurring theme is that Folk don't realize they are making history until events are long past. We are making history NOW, these are historic times. We must be aware of this and we must make the most of our time in Miðgarðr!
Hail the Æsir!
Hail the Folk!
Hail the AFA!
